Hey everyone! Hope things are going well for all! This week has been relaxing yet crazy…. some of you might actually know what I’m talking about. We just got back into our spanish classes again and the girls are doing a new bible study called Living Free by Beth Moore. So good! Also we are studying and doing fasting this week. We started today and will going till Saturday! Really excited to see what God has planned for us and for me as well. Today we went through part of our Luke study and talked about what Jesus meant when he was talking to the Pharisees and John’s Disciples about fasting, the new and old clothes and the old and new wineskins and wine. So cool to actually think about it all in perspective to the things we, myself especially, have been learning since we all jumped on board on this crazy adventure!
One of the other things that has been bouncing around in my head lately is the little riddle: what is the difference between believing in God and believing God? Pretty interesting one isn’t it? As I’ve sat and thought about it more and more I think about when I was a kid and I believed in Santa Claus. I believed he was real and that if I was a good girl for a whole year he would bring me toys. I believed in him… not only did I believed he existed I believed everything he ever told me (through varying Santas of course). But once I found out the truth about how he wasn’t real and that it had been my parents this whole time I was devistated. Of course God is real but still… we are suppose to have that child like faith in him and all and unlike the disappointment with Santa and the others to follow God will never disappoint. He never pulls the rug out from under us when we least expect it. He’s always there to comfort you, to be your refuge when you need it most, he is your strength when you have none left, he is your love when you have no more to give… that is the God that not only do I believe in but I believe…
Well that’s it for now! Hope to hear from y’all soon! Later!
~Jeanne 😉
