Hola!!! Hope all is going well for y'all! Things have been absolutely spontanious around here in Mexico and at training camp! Just to let y'all know all that has been happening to me I'll start on my first day of training camp...

Seriously, when my parents drove me up there and helped me get settled in I started having a panic attack. But after a few minutes of sitting and chilling and getting some kind of control over myself things started getting so much better! I met my team Tamara, John, Matt, Chad, Jessica, Abby, Jill, Lauren, Laura, Timi, Ifeoma and Jenny (LOVE 'EM by the way) and my leaders Jason, Bob, Erin and Naomi (LOVE 'EM especially) and we totally started growing close like a family since day 1 (well maybe day 2). Anywho we had amazing speakers the week we were there and learned so much about speaking in public, different spiritual personalities and missions in general I loved it! So finally when it was time to leave for Mexico we packed up and left from camp at 4 AM! and proceeded to the Atlanta Airport where we flew to Houston, got off and chilled for two hours before jumping on another plane and flying to Brownsville, TX and then we drove across the border and arrived at the church at about 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Since then we have done nothing but start learning about the culture and the community which is absolutely amazing! The kids here are adoreable and the people that are a part of the church as so nice and compassionate! The past 2 days we've done these things called "culutrual dips" where we were sent out into Matamoros and had to learn where things were, how to get on and off the public buses (which by the way is the closest thing to a roller coaster that I've ridden in a long time) and how to buy things. Also we learned how to do our laundry at the laundrymat and how to change our american money to pesoes which is pretty cool! ($1.00 = 109.00 pesoes but it changes day in and out).

Life here is pretty simple and I really enjoy it! That might change pretty soon but I hope that I continue to focus on God and what he wants me to do here instead of all the "hard living" stuff affecting me. Well time for me to run! I love you all! Thank you all so much for your prayers and support and I hope to get some pictures up soon! Until then...

Sincerely in His grip,

Jeanne ;)
