Hey there everyone! Hope all is going well for everyone… things are going for now. We already started moving a few things out of our house that we live in so we won’t have as much to do the next 2 weeks before we leave. This week though…
This week was our last real week of ministry in the colonias and in our internships… some what. Next week our actual last day of ministry is 8th which happens to land on the day we usually go and do our WOW times in the colonias. I know this next week is going to be hard for all of us but luckily we have already started the “debriefing” process and have started talking some of these things out so all is well… for now…
On Wednesday my group that usually goes to the school in afternoon to help the kids out with work and stuff got a little change up. April 30th (last Wednesday, was Children’s day here in Mexico and usually what happens is that the kids only get a half day and then have the rest of the day off. So at 8am my group and I went to the school to hang out and have fun as these guys celebrated Children’s day in their own special way: rave rooms, beauty salon, movie rooms, sports and games… we just had too much fun! And it was great to hang out with these kids and get to know them some more….
Last night was an amazing night though for us girls who had Girls’ Night. What else would be better on a warm friday night in Mexico than to do home-made facials! So much fun! I actually did this flour, honey, mint and something mix that was like amazing for my face! Thanks Jenny and Tamara for coming up with it and us having so much fun! We did different kinds of masks for different kinds of things and we also put oil, honey and vanilla in our hair to help us with our dried-out and freezy hair. So awesome…
Sadly though one of our team mates, Tamara, will be leaving us tomorrow sooner than expected. We love her so much and she has been such an incredible asset to our team! She actually was my tent mate when we had to go and do our training camp week in Gainesville before we came down here in September. Its sad and a bit hard for us but we know and trust that God has called her home sooner than the rest of us for a reason… we love her and will miss her so much!!
Well that’s it for now! Hope all are well and hope to hear from you soon! Later!
Jeanne 😉
