Okay so... life has been preeettttyyy adventurious since I started doing my missions work down here in Matamoros. I´ve met some incredible people and have grown so much closer to my team and leaders here! I love it! Of course there have been quite a few "interesting" situations...

The past couple of weeks the team has started doing internships and WOW ministry work (Walk On Water... we go out into a community and start building relationships with the people there!) I´m working in a place right next to our colonia called El Compo and have started really liking the place. My internship here is working at a local christian private school called Harvard Institute *See mom! I can go to Harvard..j/k* Any ways me and a couple of other people help out with the first grade class there teaching english and helping them with their school work. After school we help tutor the other students of the school with english, math, history... whatever! But if we don´t have anyone to tutor then we watch one of the local guys, George,  here teach the little kids Tae Kwon Do. Its so cool! And the kids there are soo cute!

See!

Also I met these sisters who live with the pastor and his family. They are Madai and Alex. They are two of ten siblings and apparently one of their favorite things to eat is toasted mash potatoe and shrimp sandwiches. Yeah... no... Other than that, they are two amazing young women. They love hanging out with us and helping us learn Spanish. One of them actually knows Arabic and is willing to teach me it! I´m so excited!

We also had fun doing a scavanger hunt one night this week in which we had to go out and take pictures of stuff we found like certain types of animals, Ford cars, three different US license plates (trust me its not easy) and find and catch a chicken as well as find and ride a wild donkey! Crazy! But my team won! And we got cookies! We really did have fun! But if there is one thing that is not so fun its the mud here! We´ve gotten sprinkles and the downpours but apparently even if it sprinkles just a little down here everything turns to mud!! Its so gross and if it gets on your skin you get ichy! But really its not that bad down here... really!! Well got to go! Hope all is well for y'all and I hope to talk to you soon!
