Kimberly Jeanne (Jean) Taylor was born April 21st, 1984 in Chattanooga, TN. After a couple of years of traveling with her family she finally settled into Newnan, GA where she lived out her childhood. Even as a kid she never thought it odd or unusual the way she talked to God and the way she prayed but to everyone else her closeness to him, her unwavering faith was something that no one had ever seen before not even in a kid her age. People continued to tell her parents that there was no doubt that she was meant for the mission field. Even though they weren’t use to it, people loved it and always joked around saying, “Well, if you want something done through prayer, Ask Jeanne…” And of course that’s how she got her nickname, Jeanne (Genie). When she was about 5 or 6 she decided to follow her heart and start chasing after her dream: to become a teacher and a missionary.
Over the past 10 years, Jeanne has lived in over half a dozen different cities in Georgia and in Colorado due mainly to the fact that her father was a pastor of the christian church. Moving and living in such places as Grand Junction and Palisade Colorado gave Jeanne her first glimpse at what it really took to be a missionary: moving not just literally but figuartively out of her comfort zone, meeting and getting to know new people and seeing how Christ could use her there. As for living in places like Newnan, Savannah, Conyers, Covington, Lawrenceville and Auburn Georgia Jeanne was able to get to know people and grow more spiritually and prepare herself for what God was calling her for. It wasn’t too long after she graduated high school in Colorado that she returned to Georgia and began her life in Lawrenceville as a college age young adult. After doing so she joined Crossroads Community Church as well as their college ministry, The Water’s Edge. Now after 5 years since her big move back to her home state she is preparing and starting her career as a missionary.

During all of this, Jeanne’s family has always stood by her and support her in her decisions to become a missionary. Her father Hal Taylor, 49, is the East Coast Regional Field Director for the national non-profit men’s ministry organization Promise Keepers. Her mother Karen Taylor, 48, is a First Grade Teacher and is currently attending classes to become certified in the teaching industry while holding a Masters degree in Education and a Bachlors degree in Bible and Psycology. Her older sister Jessica, 24, has begun her full time singing career at their home church and elsewhere while being a single mom of two. Her younger brother Harrison, 8, is in 3rd grade and loves to draw. Savannah, her 7 year old sister is a 2nd grader and bound and determine to become a teacher one day. Jeanne’s niece Layla, 5, is in Kindergarten and is truly gifted with the drums while Jeanne’s nephew Jarrett, 1, is just starting to find the beat.
