“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists and some to be pasotrs and teachersto prepare God’s people for the works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” ~ Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)
Hey there everyone! Hope things are going well for all of you… So down to the nitty-gritty! I have a little less than 3 weeks before I leave for Mexico and the first portion of my trip. To tell you the truth I’m at peace and excited about all this!! I can’t wait till we get to AIM and start our training. This will definately be a big step for me in my life…
I want to thank all of those who have been supporting me not only through prayer and finances for this trip but in all aspects of my life! God has truly blessed me in my life having all of you in it so that I could learn and grow not only as a responsible, hardworking citizen of my community but as a faithful, determined follower of Christ.
So for some basic info for all of you: I’ll be turning in my 2 weeks notice at work, get my physical, my insurance and the rest of my supplies within the next couple of weeks. On September 12, I’ll be leaving for Gainesville, GA to the training facility of Adventures in Mission where I’ll be doing my training and getting ready for more important parts of my trip. September 19th I head to the airport and fly out to Matamoros, Mexico. I’ll be there for the next couple of months until December 15th (yes I will be missing Thanksgiving in the states… or will I?) December 15th I’ll be flying back here to Georgia to be with my family and friends for the holidays. Then I’ll be saying goodbye again on January 15th to return to Mexico and finish the rest of trip and won’t be returning home till May 15th! Cool huh? I so can’t wait!!!
Well that’s it for now! Until next time…
~Jeanne 😉
